One interesting notion I noticed when reading this piece of work by Ross, was when he stated that in some instances pleasure is intrinsically good. When I think of pleasure I have a negative image attached to it. Naturally, when we do something that brings us pleasure we are not thinking of the retributions others have to face in the wake of our pleasure-seeking activities.

The explanation Ross gives is something along the lines of that when seeking pleasure for yourself you don't necessarily inhibit anyone else's ability to seek pleasure. Ross also argues that human intuition is naturally good so the pleasure one seeks will be good as well. If one realizes that they are causing harm to others during their seek of pleasure they will no longer feel pleasure and would therefore stop that activity.
